How will you be able to provide assurance that your course is what they need in order to help them move forward to a better future?

You know exactly who you are teaching at school or college, but you may not know the “avatar” for your online course. Who are experiencing the problems you plan to help solve? Are they kids, high school students, or adults? Are they female or male? Are they stay-at-home parents or people in certain professions? A crystal clear avatar will be a must-have even before you start creating your course.

#3 Which characters or features are the must-have to be your ideal students?

You don’t want to waste time with the wrong people. For instance, you don’t want to enroll people who have no determination and perseverance toward their own success. You don’t want to try to enroll those who only look into “quick money” without putting forth effort. You don’t want to teach those who are basically unteachable, or who don’t have the patience and humility to learn from others.

#4 Where are your ideal students most likely hanging around?

Where do you see your dream audience hanging around? Are they on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat or TikTok?? Can you reach them directly through email, phone call, message, or through referral? It’s better not to choose only where you prefer to go, but to choose where your dream audience prefers to go.

When you ask yourself the above questions, and get crystal clear answers, you can then move on to create the best course for your ideal students.
